Foreword

This standard is in accordance with GB/T 1.1-2009 given rules drafted.

This standard replaces GB/T 8740-2005 "casting bearing alloy ingots." Compared with GB/T 8740-2005, major changes in this standard as follows.

--- Increased from grades 9-11. Tin-based alloys increase SnSb9Cu7 grades; lead-based alloys increase PbSb16Sn16Cu2 Grades.

--- Individual chemical constituents were modified. SnSb11Cu6 grades of bismuth in the modification of <=0.05% <=0.08%; SnSb11Cu6 card Number of arsenic by a modification of <=0.05% <=0.1%.

--- The requirement to remove the physical properties of products. While in the test method to delete the test methods of physical properties.

--- Increased production requirements for product sampling.

This standard SnSb4Cu4, SnSb8Cu4 two grades modify using ASTMB23:2000 (R2005) "Pap bearing alloy" standard the UNS-L13910, UNS-L13890 two grades; SnSb8Cu8, PbSb16Sn1As1, PbSb15Sn10, PbSb15Sn5, PbSb10Sn6 five grades identical with ASTMB23:2000 (R2005) "Pap bearing alloy" standard UNS-L13840, UNS-L53620, UNS-L53585, UNS-L53565, UNS-L53346 five grades; SnSb9Cu7, SnSb11Cu6, SnSb12Pb10Cu4 Three grades impurities limited use ASTMB23:2000 (R2005) "Pap bearing alloy" standard UNS-L13840 limited amount of impurities, PbSb16Sn16Cu2 impurities limited use ASTMB23:2000 (R2005) "Pap bearing alloy" standard UNS-L53346 hetero Quality limits. And ASTMB32 grade table in Appendix A, corresponding to the grades of the physical performance test data in Appendix B.

This standard ASTMB23:2000 (R2005) "Pap bearing alloy" compared to standard, with the following differences.

--- SnSb4Cu4, SnSb8Cu4 two grades of iron revised to limit the <=0.08% <=0.06%;

--- Tin-based increase SnSb9Cu7, SnSb11Cu6, SnSb12Pb10Cu4 three grades, delete UNS-L13870 (SnSb6Cu5) Grades; lead-based increase PbSb16Sn16Cu2 grades;

1 Scope

This standard specifies the cast tin-based, lead-based bearing alloy ingots requested products, test methods, inspection rules and signs, packaging, transportation and storage and quality certification with the contract (or purchase order) content.

This standard applies to tin, lead, antimony, copper and other metals as the main raw material, pyrometallurgical refining production of cast tin-based, lead-based bearing alloy ingots.
