Scope
GB/T 8732-2014 is the English-translated version of 汽轮机叶片用钢.
GB/T 8732-2014 is the Chinese national product standard for the steel from which steam turbine blades are made. It covers the ordering details a contract must carry, the dimensions, shape and permissible deviations, the technical requirements, test methods, inspection rules, packaging, marks and quality certificate.
Hot-rolled round, flat and square steel follows Group 2 of GB/T 702-2008 with a length not less than 2000 mm, forged steel follows Group 2 of GB/T 908-2008 with a length not less than 1500 mm, and irregular-shaped steel is made to drawings supplied by the purchaser; grades, unified numerical designations and chemical composition are tabulated, with the composition tolerances taken from GB/T 222-2006.
It applies to hot-rolled and forged steel for turbine blades. It replaces GB/T 8732-2004, was issued on 30 September 2014 and has applied since 1 May 2015.
