Foreword

This document complies with the provisions of GB/T 1.1-2020 "Standardization Work Guidelines Part 1: Structure and Drafting Rules of Standardization Documents".

Drafting.

This document supersedes GB/T 8554-1998 "Measurement Methods and Test Procedures for Transformers and Inductors for Electronic and Communication Equipment" and is consistent with...

Compared with GB/T 8554-1998, apart from structural adjustments and editorial changes, the main technical changes are as follows.

a) Terminology. "Quality factor" has been changed (see 3.4, 1998 edition), and "compass safety distance" has been removed (see 1998 edition).

Version 3.9) changed the "phase shift angle" [see 3.10.3, 3.11c in the 1998 version] and added the "frequency weighting characteristic" (see 3.16).

b) Test procedure.

1) Added. AC resistance (see 4.4.1.2), impedance (see 4.4.2), no-load current test circuit diagram (see Figure 6 in 4.4.4.1), and open circuit.

The circuit diagram for load loss testing (see Figure 7 in 4.4.4.2), short-circuit power (see 4.4.4.4), efficiency (see 4.4.4.5), and leakage inductance test winding are also included.

Group connection instructions (see 4.4.5.2), phase imbalance (see 4.4.6.7), amplitude imbalance (RF) (see 4.4.6.8), impedance Anti-conversion ratio (see 4.4.8.1), coupling coefficient (see 4.4.8.2), voltage transformation ratio test procedure 3 (see 4.4.8.3), current transformation ratio Test Procedure 2 (see 4.4.8.4), Crosstalk Interference (see 4.4.11), Pulse Waveform Test Circuit Diagram (see 4.4.13), Voltage Adjustment Rate test circuit diagram (see 4.4.16), method for measuring temperature rise using thermocouples (see 4.4.17.3), polarity test circuit diagram (see...) 4.4.19).

2) The following changes have been made. the error range of the test voltage in insulation resistance (see 4.4.3.3, 4.4.2.3 in the 1998 edition), and magnetic interference.

(See 4.4.23.2, 4.4.21.2 in the 1998 edition).

3) The content of the effective resistance section is integrated into 4.4.1 (see 4.4.1, 1998 version of 4.4.4.1).

c) Normative appendices A through G have been added.

This document is modified to adopt IEC 61007:2020 "Transformers and inductors for electronic and communication equipment - Test methods and procedures".

Compared with IEC 61007:2020, this document has undergone the following structural adjustments.

---Added version 4.4.2;

---4.4.3 corresponds to IEC 61007:2020 4.4.2, 4.4.4 corresponds to IEC 61007:2020 4.4.3, and 4.4.23 corresponds to...

IEC 61007:2020, section 4.4.22;

---Removed 4.4.23 of IEC 61007:2020.

The technical differences between this document and IEC 61007:2020, and the reasons therefor, are as follows.

---Table 1 (see 4.1.1 of IEC 61007:2020) has been deleted, as many of the categories covered in that table are rarely used anymore;

---The term "compass safety distance" and its definition (see IEC 61007:2020, 3.9) have been removed to comply with my country's technical requirements;

---The definition of the term "polarity" has been changed (see 3.13) to conform to my country's technical requirements;

---IEC 60068-1:2013 (see 4.1.1) has been replaced with the normatively referenced GB/T 2421 to increase the applicability of this document and Operability;

---An impedance test procedure has been added (see 4.4.2). Impedance is an important indicator, and this addition increases the applicability of this document.

Operability;

---Added normative references GB/T 40853.1 (see 4.4.2) and GB/T 14860.1.

GB/T 14860.4, GB/T 18909, SJ/T 10614, SJ/T 10615, SJ/T 10616 (see 4.5.1.1) are added to this document.

The operability of the components;

---The leakage inductance test now includes the requirement that "during measurement, the inductance and resistance of the short-circuit line should be minimized when the two ends of the winding are short-circuited," taking into account the influence of inductance and resistance on the circuit.

The impact of the test results will be considered to increase the operability of this document (see 4.4.5.2);

---Test procedures 1 and 2 for self-capacitance (see IEC 61007:2020 4.4.6.1) have been removed. Q meters are now rarely used.

And the parallel capacitor line drawing method for testing its own capacitance;

---The conditions for determining thermal balance have been changed (see 4.4.17.1). In resistance method temperature rise measurement, the most intuitive way to determine thermal balance is by measuring the electrical resistance.

Therefore, the input power is changed to the resistance value;

---Added the method of measuring temperature rise using thermocouples (see 4.4.17.3), which is widely used in the industry;

---The conditions for determining thermal balance have been changed (see 4.4.18). When measuring surface temperature, the most intuitive way to determine thermal balance is by measuring the temperature.

Therefore, the input power is changed to temperature;

---IEC 61672-1 (see 4.4.21.1) has been replaced with the normatively referenced GB/T 3785.1 to increase the applicability and reliability of this document.

Operability;

---IEC 60270 (see 4.4.22) has been replaced with the normatively referenced GB/T 7354 to increase the applicability and operability of this document.

Actual nature;

---The magnetic interference test has been modified (see 4.4.23.2, 4.4.22.2 of IEC 61007:2020) to use a magnetometer to measure the component's operation.

The compass method was rarely used to determine the magnetic field strength at a certain distance under certain conditions.

---The relevant parts of IEC 60068-2 (see 4.5.2~4.5.17) have been replaced with the normatively referenced parts of GB/T 2423.

This document enhances its applicability and operability.

---The high-temperature test in the climate sequence, Ba, has been changed to Bb, because both IEC 60068-2-2:2025 and GB/T 2423.2-2008 have been deleted.

The experiment Ba was conducted (see 4.5.10);

---The low-temperature test in the climate sequence, Aa, has been changed to Ab, because both IEC 60068-2-1:2025 and GB/T 2423.1-2008 have been deleted.

Test Aa was conducted (see 4.5.10);

---IEC 60695-11-2 and IEC 60695-11-5 have been replaced by the normatively referenced GB/T 5169.5 and GB/T 5169.14 (see GB/T 5169.5).

4.5.16), to increase the applicability and operability of this document.

The following editorial changes have been made to this document.

---The paragraphs in the "Scope" chapter have been adjusted from one paragraph to five paragraphs for clearer organization (see Chapter 1);

---Formula numbers have been added;

---Explanations for some symbols in the formulas have been added (see 4.4.1.1 and 4.4.4.3);

---The dielectric withstand voltage test circuit diagram has been added (see Figures 4 and 5 in 4.4.3.1);

---Change "wattmeter" to "power analyzer" (see 4.4.4.2, 4.4.4.4);

---Change "Leakage Inductance L1" to "Leakage Inductance Lk" (see 4.4.5.2);

---Notes 1 and 2 have been added to the common-mode rejection ratio test circuit diagram (see 4.4.6.2);

---The index description for Uo in Figure 20 has been removed;

---Move the note from 4.4.16 into 4.4.17.1 (see note 2 in 4.4.17.1);

---The note between 4.4.20 and 4.4.20.1 has been deleted;

---IEC 60076-10 and IEC 60076-10-1 have been replaced by the informative references GB/T 1094.10 and GB/T 1094.101, respectively.

(See note 2 in 4.4.21.1);

---Change the physical quantity representing current in formula (41) to I (see 4.4.23.1);

---IEC 60068-2 has been replaced with GB/T 2423 (see 4.5.1.2) for informational reference;

---IEC 60695-11-2 and IEC 60695-11-5 have been replaced by the informative references GB/T 5169.5 and GB/T 5169.14, respectively.

(See note 4.5.16).
