Foreword

This document is in accordance with the provisions of GB/T 1.1-2020 "Guidelines for standardization work Part 1: Structure and drafting rules for standardization documents" Drafting.

This document replaces GB/T 8456-2003 "Nominal diameters of circular knitting machines for textile machinery" and is consistent with GB/T 8456-2003.

In addition to structural adjustments and editorial changes, the main technical changes are as follows.

— Changed the scope (see Chapter 1, Chapter 1 of the 2003 edition);

— Changed the provisions of "nominal diameter and code" (see Chapter 4, Chapter 3 of the 2003 edition).

1 Scope

This document specifies the nominal diameters of circular knitting machines and the designations for the machine specifications.

This document is applicable to circular knitting machines and hanging machines with large and small cylinder diameters.

3 Terms and definitions

The terms and definitions defined in GB/T 6002.9-2008 and the following apply to this document.

4 Nominal diameter and code

The classification and terminology of knitting machines are specified in GB/T 6002.9-2008; the needle gauge of knitting machines is specified in GB/T 8458-2003.Table 1 The nominal diameter in millimeters and the code indicating the machine specification are listed.
