Scope

GB/T 8021-2003 is the English-translated version of 石油产品皂化值测定法.

GB/T 8021-2003 — This standard applies to: Determination of petroleum products under the test conditions (such as lubricants, additives, transmission fluid, etc.) can be saponification component content.

This standard includes two assays: Method A-color indicator method (Chapter I, paragraph 11 Chapter 6) and B-potentiometric titration method (Chapter 12 Chapter 19).
