The following terms and definitions apply to this document.

3.1

The fresh branches on the tree are mature and harvested to raise the next generation of lac insects.

Note. Lac insect seed lac includes winter seed lac and summer seed lac.

3.2

Fresh branches that have matured during the winter and are used for raising live insects in the summer.

3.3

Live insects are raised on fresh branches that have matured during the summer and are intended for winter rearing.

3.4 The degree of maturity

Lac insect eggs develop into embryos capable of producing offspring larvae (five stages).

The thickness of the fresh rubber pieces peeled off the seed rubber.
