Scope
GB/T 7163-2021 is the English-translated version of 核电厂安全系统可靠性分析要求.
GB/T 7163-2021 sets the minimum acceptable requirements for reliability analysis of the safety systems of nuclear power plants.
It applies to the safety-class electrical and instrumentation and control systems, and its methods can also be used for non-safety systems linked to safety systems, for the safety systems of other nuclear facilities, and in the design, manufacture, testing and maintenance of systems and components.
It defines availability and reliability and sets out what the analysis must contain: setting availability or reliability goals, evaluating the system design, the treatment of design changes and cascading failures, the calculations needed for quantitative analysis, and the handling of over-conservative and non-conservative goals.
Designers and operators of nuclear plants use it. It replaces GB/T 7163-2008, was issued on 20 August 2021 and has applied since 1 March 2022.

Foreword
This document is in accordance with the provisions of GB/T 1.1-2020 "Guidelines for Standardization Work Part 1: Structure and Drafting Rules of Standardization Documents" Drafting.
This document replaces GB/T 7163-2008 "Requirements for Reliability Analysis of Nuclear Power Plant Safety System". Compared with GB/T 7163-2008, it mainly The technical changes are as follows.

1 Scope
This document specifies the minimum acceptable requirements for reliability analysis of safety systems in nuclear power plants.
This document is applicable to the safety electrical I&C system of nuclear power plants for reliability analysis. Other systems can be used as reference.
The methods involved in this document are also applicable to non-safety systems or a part of systems that require reliability analysis and are associated with safety systems. part.
This document is applicable to the design, manufacturing, testing and maintenance of systems and components. The timing of the analysis depends on the analysis the goal of.
