Compared with GB/T 6238-2004, apart from structural adjustments and editorial changes, the main technical changes are as follows.

a) The requirement for the number of emergency exits in the driver's cab has been changed (see 5.1, 5.1 in the 2004 edition);

b) Added requirements for window glass used as emergency exits (see 5.1);

c) The requirements for internal workspace dimensions have been changed (see Chapter 6, Chapter 6 of the 2004 edition).

This document is equivalent to ISO 4252:2007 "Agricultural tractor operator working position, aisle and emergency exit dimensions".

1 Scope

This document specifies the following design dimensions for agricultural tractors.

a) Minimum dimensions of the doorway;

b) The number, location, and minimum size of emergency exits;

c) Minimum dimensions of the workspace.

This document applies to the design of agricultural tractors with a minimum wheel track (track gauge) greater than 1150mm.

3 Terms and Definitions

The following terms and definitions apply to this document.

Emergency Exit

An exit that can be opened from inside the driver's cab.

Note. The driver's cab door used for normal entry and exit can be considered an emergency exit.

doorway

Access to or from the driver's cab or work area.

Four-wheel drive agricultural and forestry tractors, with interchangeable equipment for agricultural or forestry operations, featuring a support frame and one or more power transmissions.

The vertical height of the center of gravity, as determined by ISO 789-6, is less than 850 mm.

4 Tips

When the doorway and door are in the open position, the minimum dimensions of the passageway should be as shown in Figures 1 and 2.This applies to passageways that allow direct access to seats from the staircase.

The measured height at each width of the tractor and access road can be reduced.
