Scope
GB/T 6150.9-2009 is the English-translated version of 钨精矿化学分析方法 铜量的测定 火焰原子吸收光谱法.
GB/T 6150.9-2009 gives the flame atomic absorption spectrometric method for determining the copper content of tungsten concentrates. Clause 1 applies it to the determination of copper in tungsten concentrates over a measuring range of 0.005 % to 1.00 %.
GB/T 6150, Methods for chemical analysis of tungsten concentrates, is divided into 17 parts and this document is part 9.
The method summary has the sample decomposed with hydrochloric, nitric and perchloric acid, heated until dense white fumes come off, then cooled and taken up in a nitric acid medium, after which the absorbance of copper is measured on an atomic absorption spectrometer at a wavelength of 324.8 nm in an air-acetylene flame and the copper mass fraction is computed by the working curve method, the other impurities of the concentrate causing no interference.
The reagents clause lists hydrochloric, nitric and perchloric acid of stated density, nitric acid diluted 1+1, and a copper stock solution of 200 micrograms per millilitre prepared from 0.2000 g of copper of at least 99.99 % purity.
The instrument clause asks for a spectrometer with a copper hollow cathode lamp and sets the figures it must reach: a characteristic concentration for copper below 0.059 micrograms per millilitre in a solution matching the matrix of the test solution, precision limits on ten absorbance readings of the most and the least concentrated standard solutions, and a linearity check in which the curve is divided into five concentration segments and the ratio between the absorbance difference of the highest segment and that of the lowest must not fall below 0.7.
The remaining clauses cover the sample, ground below 0.074 mm and dried for two hours at 105 to 110 degrees C before being cooled in a desiccator, and the analysis steps, which start from the test portion weighed to 0.0001 g according to Table 1.
Against the edition it replaces, the analysis medium was changed from hydrochloric acid to nitric acid, the measuring range was widened from 0.005 % to 0.500 % up to 0.005 % to 1.00 %, the standard solution is prepared in nitric acid instead of hydrochloric and perchloric acid, and a repeatability clause was added.
It replaces GB/T 6150.11-1985, was issued on 2009-10-30 and has applied since 2010-06-01.
