Scope
GB/T 5687.13-2021 is the English-translated version of 铬铁 铬、硅、锰、钛、钒和铁含量的测定 波长色散X射线荧光光谱法(熔铸玻璃片法).
GB/T 5687.13-2021 sets out how to determine chromium, silicon, manganese, titanium, vanadium and iron in ferrochromium by wavelength dispersive X-ray fluorescence spectrometry, with the sample fused into a cast glass bead.
It applies to medium- and high-carbon ferrochromium and gives a measuring range for each element in mass fraction, from 45.00% to 70.00% for chromium and 22.00% to 45.00% for iron, 0.500% to 4.000% for silicon, and a few tenths of a percent or less for manganese, titanium and vanadium.
The method relies on the rules for sampling and preparing ferroalloy samples, the general rules for X-ray fluorescence analysis of metallurgical products, reference materials and the verification of the spectrometer.
It is part 13 of the GB/T 5687 series and is intended for laboratories analysing ferroalloys. It was issued on 20 August 2021 and has applied since 1 March 2022.

Introduction
As there are many elements involved in the detection of ferrochromium, the applicable scope and applicable methods of the elements are different. In order to ensure chromium The iron detection standards are convenient and accurate. For the analysis methods of different elements of ferrochromium, a national standard system supporting the detection of ferrochromium has been established.
GB/T 5687 (all parts) is the basic standard for ferrochrome testing in my country, and it is planned to consist of the following thirteen parts. But some parts have been abolished, Need to pay attention to during use.
---GB/T 5687.1-1985 "Methods for chemical analysis of ferrochromium". The purpose is to measure chromium The chromium content in iron uses the ammonium persulfate oxidation volumetric method. This part has been abolished.
---GB/T 5687.2-2007 "Determination of ferrochromium, silicon-chromium alloys and chromium-nitride silicon content-Perchloric acid dehydration gravimetric method". Item The purpose is to measure the silicon content in ferrochrome, silicon-chromium alloy and ferrochrome nitride, using the perchloric acid dehydration gravimetric method.
---GB/T 5687.3-1985 "Methods for chemical analysis of ferrochromium, the molybdenum blue photometric method for the determination of phosphorus content". The purpose is to measure the phosphorus in ferrochrome The content is based on the molybdenum blue light method. This part has been abolished.
---GB/T 5687.4-2016 "Determination of Nitrogen Content of Ferrochromium Nitride and High Nitrogen Chromium Ferro-Nitrogen Distillation-Neutralization Titration Method". The purpose is to test To measure the nitrogen content in ferrochrome nitride and high-nitrogen ferrochrome, use the distillation-neutralization titration method.
---GB/T 5687.5-1988 "Methods for Chemical Analysis of Ferrochromium. Determination of Carbon Content by Infrared Absorption Method". The purpose is to measure the Carbon content, using infrared absorption method. This part has been abolished.
---GB/T 5687.6-1988 "Methods for Chemical Analysis of Ferrochrome Coulometric Determination of Carbon Content". The purpose is to measure the carbon content in ferrochrome Quantities, using Coulomb method. This part has been abolished.
---GB/T 5687.7-1988 "Methods for chemical analysis of ferrochrome gravimetric determination of carbon content". The purpose is to measure the carbon content in ferrochrome The amount, using the weight method. This part has been abolished.
---GB/T 5687.8-1988 "Methods for Chemical Analysis of Ferrochromium. Determination of Sulfur by Infrared Absorption Method". The purpose is to measure the Sulfur content, using infrared absorption method. This part has been abolished.
