Foreword

This document is drafted in accordance with the rules given in GB/T 1.1-2020, Directives for standardization - Part 1: Rules for the structure and drafting of standardizing documents.

This document replaces GB/T 5325-2009, Combed polyester/cotton blended grey fabric. Compared with GB/T 5325-2009, apart from structural adjustments and editorial changes, the main technical changes are as follows:

- the scope has been changed (see Clause 1; Clause 1 of the 2009 edition);

- for intrinsic quality, the assessment items deviation rate of size-free dry mass per unit area and percentage of squares with neps and impurities have been added, the assessment items weave and width deviation rate have been deleted, and the assessment indices for density deviation rate, fibre content deviation and percentage of squares with neps have been changed (see Tables 1, 2 and 3; Tables 1 and 2 of the 2009 edition);

- for appearance quality, the assessment items weave and width deviation rate have been added, the permissible score for fabric surface defects has been changed to points per hundred square metres and the assessment indices have been raised (see Table 4; Table 3 of the 2009 edition);

- the inspection of fabric surface defects, the scoring rules for fabric surface defects, the cumulative scoring within 1 m, the measurement of fabric surface defects, the explanation of defect scoring and the scoring of defects in fabric for processing have been deleted (see Clause 5 of the 2009 edition);

- some test and inspection methods have been added (see Clause 6);

- part of the content on the yarn strength utilization coefficient has been changed, and the specific content on the various fabric surface defects and the explanation of the defect names have been deleted (see Annex A; Annexes A, B and C of the 2009 edition).
