Scope
GB/T 48172-2026 is the English-translated version of 智慧货运枢纽基本要求.
This standard sets out basic requirements for smart freight hubs, the logistics nodes where cargo is consolidated, transferred, and distributed using digital and intelligent technologies. It is aimed at operators of freight terminals and logistics parks, planners and consultants, technology suppliers who equip such facilities, and public authorities who assess or support hub development.
Because it is a recommended national standard (GB/T) issued under the Ministry of Transport, it is not compulsory in itself, but it can serve as a reference for project briefs, procurement documents, and evaluations of how advanced a hub is. It is a domestic Chinese document on a relatively new topic in transport and logistics.
Readers working on freight infrastructure in China will find it useful for understanding the baseline expectations attached to the label smart hub. It takes effect on 1 April 2027.
