Foreword

This document complies with the provisions of GB/T 1.1-2020 "Standardization Work Guidelines Part 1: Structure and Drafting Rules of Standardization Documents".

Drafting.

This document is modified to adopt ISO 12274:1997 "Aerospace - 900MPa/235°C, 900MPa/315°C, 900MPa/425°C, with..." MJ threaded self-adjusting single-ear floating support plate self-locking nut dimensions.

This document has undergone the following structural adjustments compared to ISO 12274:1997.

---A chapter on "Terms and Definitions" has been added;

The technical differences between this document and ISO 12274:1997, and the reasons therefor, are as follows.

---The normative reference to ISO 5858 (see the introduction to ISO 12274:1997) has been removed. International standards are not commonly used in my country and need to be determined by the user.

The relevant requirements should be determined by the user to adapt to my country's technological conditions;

---ISO 5855-2:1988 has been replaced with the normatively referenced GB/T 43924.2-2024 (see Table 1) to conform to my country's national conditions;

---The shape and position tolerance requirements for the nuts have been changed from the notes in Figure 1 to the main text (see Chapter 4), which is more in line with the usage habits in my country;

---The requirement to allow tooltip marking has been added (see footnote b in Figure 1), which is more in line with the usage habits in my country;

---The thread requirements have been changed (see footnote a in Table 1) to better suit Chinese usage habits.

The following editorial changes have been made to this document.

---To align with existing standards, the standard name has been changed to "Dimensions of MJ Threaded Self-Aligning Single-Ear Floating Support Plate Self-Locking Nuts for Aerospace Use";

---Added explanation of blunting sharp edges (see note 2 in Figure 1) for easier standard use;

---The presentation of the structural diagram has been changed (see Figure 1) to better align with domestic industry drafting practices;

---The representation of letters in the structural dimensions (see Figure 1 and Table 1) and the order of letters in the table (see Table 1) have been changed to better conform to national standards.

1 Scope

This document specifies the strength grades for aviation aircraft with strength ratings of 900MPa1)/235°C2), 900MPa1)/315°C2), and 900MPa1)/425°C2).

The structure and dimensions of the Tianyong MJ threaded self-aligning single-ear floating plate self-locking nut (hereinafter referred to as "nut").

This document applies to the design and manufacture of MJ thread self-aligning single-ear floating plate self-locking nuts for aerospace applications.

3 Terms and Definitions

This document does not contain any terms or definitions that need to be defined.

4 Structure and Dimensions

The structure and dimensions of the nut are shown in Figure 1 and Table 1.The dimensions and tolerances are for the part surface after coating and before lubrication.

1) When tested with bolts of the highest strength grade, the nut can withstand the minimum tensile load at ambient temperature without failure.

2) After the nut has been subjected to the maximum operating temperature, its original properties will not be permanently changed upon returning to room temperature. The maximum operating temperature depends on the material or surface treatment of the nut.
