Scope
GB/T 48114-2026 is the English-translated version of GNSS掩星探测数据质量检验要求.
This document sets out requirements for data quality inspection of GNSS occultation detection. GNSS radio occultation measures the bending of navigation satellite signals as they pass through the atmosphere, and the resulting data feed weather and climate applications. Checking the quality of such data is important for users who assimilate it into models or build products from it. The audience includes meteorological agencies, data processing centers, satellite and receiver operators and research groups.
The standard takes effect on 1 December 2026, with the China Meteorological Administration as the responsible body. It is a recommended national standard (GB/T). A shared set of inspection requirements helps data providers and users agree on what acceptable data looks like. It complements the sibling documents on the data format and on product types.
