GB/T 48113-2026 is the English-translated version of 风能太阳能预报检验规范.

Forecasts of wind and solar resources underpin generation scheduling and grid operation, and verification is the process of checking how closely forecast values agree with what was later observed. This standard provides specifications for that verification of wind energy and solar energy forecasts.

Meteorological services, forecasting providers, wind and solar plant operators, power dispatch and grid companies, and research institutions are the likely users. A common verification specification allows forecast accuracy to be reported in a comparable way across providers, so that an operator choosing between forecast services can read their results side by side.

It is a recommended (GB/T) standard, so it is voluntary and applies where service contracts, grid operating rules or internal quality procedures refer to it. It is useful to international forecasting companies and developers who want to understand how forecast quality is checked in China. It was issued on 28 August 2026 and takes effect on 1 December 2026.
