Scope
GB/T 48093.1-2026 is the English-translated version of 电动汽车用固态电池 第1部分:术语和分类.
Part 1 of this series gives terms and classification for solid-state batteries for electric vehicles. A shared vocabulary and classification scheme is useful in a fast-moving technology area, where companies use different words for similar designs. The document is aimed at battery developers, vehicle makers, researchers, testing bodies, regulators and writers of technical specifications who need consistent language.
It takes effect on 1 January 2028, a later date than most documents issued on the same day, which gives industry time to prepare. It is a recommended national standard (GB/T) under the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology. As the opening part of a new series, later parts, where published, will likely depend on the terminology set here, and companies preparing product literature or procurement terms can use it to align their wording.
