Scope
GB/T 48082-2026 is the English-translated version of 酱腌菜分类.
Pickled vegetables form a large family of preserved foods in Chinese cuisine, ranging from salted and brined products to those cured in sauce, and this standard sets out how they are classified. A classification gives producers, buyers and regulators a shared vocabulary for sorting products into types, which supports product descriptions, catalogues and trade documents.
Food manufacturers and processors, distributors and exporters, retailers, food testing bodies and staff who prepare product standards or labels will find it relevant. Importers handling Chinese preserved vegetables can use the categories to place a product accurately when speaking with suppliers.
As a recommended (GB/T) standard it is voluntary. It sorts products into categories rather than setting food safety limits, and it applies where contracts, product standards or labelling practice refer to it. It was issued on 28 August 2026 and takes effect on 1 September 2027.
