This document applies to the production and inspection of alcohol packets (tablets) used in food packaging.

3 Terms and Definitions

The following terms and definitions apply to this document.

3.1 Alcohol packet (tablet)

Pre-packaged products containing edible alcohol as the main ingredient; or products containing edible alcohol as the main ingredient, using silica, high-molecular-weight polymers, etc.

3.3 Nominal quantity

The product claims to contain the mass of an ethanol solution.

Note: The unit is grams (g).

3.4 Alcohol concentration

The volume percentage of ethanol in its liquid contents.
