Scope

GB/T 48055-2026 is the English-translated version of 液相吸附用木质活性炭.

This standard covers wooden activated carbon intended for liquid phase adsorption. Activated carbon made from wood is used to treat liquids, for example in decolorizing and purification processes, and the document is directed at carbon producers, chemical and food-processing users, water treatment operators and laboratories that evaluate such products.

The edition was issued on 28 August 2026 and takes effect on 1 March 2027. It replaces GB/T 13803.1-1999. Responsibility lies with the National Forestry and Grassland Administration, which reflects the forest-product origin of the raw material. As a GB/T document, it is recommended, and it can be written into supply contracts and product specifications by agreement. Because the earlier edition dates from 1999, users who still cite it in purchasing terms or quality plans should check their references against the new number. Foreword

GB/T 48055-2026 is a recommended national standard (GB/T) of the People's Republic of China, issued on 28 August 2026 by the State Administration for Market Regulation and the Standardization Administration of China, with effect from 1 March 2027.

This edition replaces GB/T 13803.1-1999.

It is under the responsibility of the National Forestry and Grassland Administration.
