Scope

GB/T 48037-2026 is the English-translated version of 平面光源和灯具的亮度分布测量方法.

GB/T 48037-2026 is the Chinese standard "Measurement methods for the luminance distribution of planar light sources and luminaires".

Its scope clause reads: This document establishes a method for representing the luminance distribution of light sources and luminaires with planar luminous surfaces, and describes the measurement conditions and measurement...

Measurement equipment and measurement methods. This document applies to lamps, luminaires, modules, and their lighting systems with planar light-emitting surfaces that are powered by AC or DC in laboratories or field applications.

Luminance distribution measurement under the specified conditions. Luminance distribution measurement for other light sources and luminaires shall be performed in the same manner.

This document does not apply to planar light sources and luminaires that primarily emit ultraviolet or infrared radiation. Its clauses include terms and definitions.

2 Normative references

The contents of the following documents, through normative references within the text, constitute essential provisions of this document. Dated citations are not included.

3 Terms and Definitions

The terms and definitions defined in GB/T 2900.65 and the following terms and definitions apply to this document.

3.1

A nearly flat and uniformly luminous outer surface.

Note 1.Absolute flatness is an ideal situation. In practical applications, the planar light-emitting surface is macroscopically flat, but there are minute bumps and depressions in some areas, such as surface frosting or texture.

The physical or microstructure; in this document, a luminescent surface with a radius of curvature much larger than the observation distance (e.g., 10 times) is considered a planar luminescent surface.

Note 2.The shape of the planar luminous surface is not limited, including rectangles, circles, rings, polygons and other irregular shapes.

3.2 luminance

Luminosity

Lv;L

The density of luminous intensity at a specified point on an actual or imaginary surface in a specified direction relative to the projected area [see formula (1)].

Lv= dIv cosalpha (1)

In the formula.

Iv --- Luminous intensity;

A --- The area of the luminous surface;
