3 Terms and Definitions
The following terms and definitions apply to this document.
3.1 Meteorological baloon
Various types of balloons used in meteorological observation.
Note. Based on their purpose, weather balloons are mainly divided into conventional weather balloons and dual-mode weather balloons. Conventional weather balloons have a single-sphere structure, while dual-mode weather balloons have a double-layered sphere structure.
Composed of an outer sphere and an inner sphere, it is mainly used as a carrier for high-altitude meteorological instruments.
