1 Scope

This document defines the terminology for complete sets of equipment for polyacrylonitrile fiber production and specifies the classification and types of such equipment. Numbering method.

This document applies to complete sets of equipment for the production of polyacrylonitrile fibers using solution spinning technology, and complete sets of equipment for the production of polyacrylonitrile fibers for carbon fibers.

Equipment and other related items shall be implemented in accordance with this guideline.

3 Terms and Definitions

The following terms and definitions apply to this document.

3.1.2 Spinning Solvent

In solution spinning, chemical reagents are used to dissolve and carry polyacrylonitrile (3.1.1).

3.1.3 Spinning dope

A solution whose polyacrylonitrile (3.1.1) content, viscosity and other indicators meet the requirements for spinning.

3.1.4 Polyacrylonitrile fibre

Fibers spun from homopolymers or copolymers with an acrylonitrile content greater than 85% (mass fraction).

3.1.5 Solution polymerization

The polymerization reaction of acrylonitrile or acrylonitrile with comonomer in a solvent.

3.1.7 Spinning and post-treatment

Through a series of processes including extrusion, coagulation, washing, drawing, oiling, drying, crimping, winding, setting, cutting, and packaging, the spinning solution is transformed into a fine filament.
