Foreword

This document complies with the provisions of GB/T 1.1-2020 "Standardization Work Guidelines Part 1: Structure and Drafting Rules of Standardization Documents".

Drafting.

This document is Part 1 of GB/T 47759 "Product Geometric Specifications (GPS) Separation". GB/T 47759 has been published as follows.

Part 2.

---Part 1: Vocabulary and Basic Concepts this document is equivalent to ISO 18183-1:2024 "Geometric Specifications for Products (GPS) – Separation – Part 1: Vocabulary and Basic Terms".

Please note that some content in this document may involve patents. The issuing organization of this document assumes no responsibility for identifying patents.

This document was proposed and is under the jurisdiction of the National Technical Committee on Standardization of Product Geometric Specifications (SAC/TC240).

Introduction

Separation is defined in GB/T 24637.1 "Product Geometric Specification (GPS) - General Concepts - Part 1: Models for Geometric Specifications and Inspection".

One of the characteristics of the defined GPS operation set is that it can be applied to nominal model surfaces (i.e., GPS specification interpretation) as well as to non-ideal surfaces of parts.

Validation of the surface model (i.e., the skin surface model).

The information required to apply the separation operation to the nominal model includes.

---Geometric information contained in the nominal model;

---Separation information included in the GPS specification, such as specification type, CZ or UF modifiers, and defined areas;

---Separation methods and criteria.

The information required to apply separation operations to non-ideal surface models (skin models) includes.

---Separation results implemented on the nominal model based on GPS specifications;

---Separation methods and criteria.

The separation method is based on the concept of a single surface (or single line). first, the nominal model is decomposed into a set of single surfaces, forming an initial set of separated elements.

As needed, the initial set of separation elements is adjusted using modifiers in the GPS specifications to ultimately obtain a set of separation elements that meets the design objectives.

Element set.

An algorithm for separating section-related measured features.

The data and methods used to separate the nominal model from the non-ideal surface model (skin model) are different.

GB/T 47759 is proposed to consist of three parts.

---Part 1: Vocabulary and Basic Concepts. The aim is to define a separate framework of basic terminology and concepts.

---Part 2: Nominal Model. The purpose is to define the element separation operations on the nominal model.

---Part 3: Methods for Specification and Validation. The purpose is to define methods for separation in specifications and validation.
