This document is equivalent to ISO 23113:2020 "Ships and marine technology - mooring and towing equipment for ships - closed cable guide base".

1 Scope

This document specifies the types, nominal dimensions, materials, and structures of closed-type cable guide bases used for guiding ship mooring and towing cables. Manufacturing and inspection, marking requirements.

3 Terms and Definitions

The following terms and definitions apply to this document.

3.1 Safeworkingload;SWL

Safety load limits (maximum permissible load) for mooring and towing equipment.

4 Classification

4.1 Type

Closed cable guide hole bases should be classified into the following types according to the installation location.

a) Type A. Deck-mounted closed cable guide hole base;

b) Type B. Closed cable guide base installed on the deck and sides;

c) Type C. Closed cable guide elbow plate installed on the bulwark.

4.2 Nominal Dimensions

The nominal dimensions of the closed cable guide base are indicated with reference to the corresponding nominal dimensions of the closed cable guide (ISO 23113:2020). For those with... Closed cable guide bases of the same size but with different safe working loads are distinguished by adding the letters A, B or C after the nominal size. The nominal dimensions are as follows.
