1 Scope

GB/T 47681.1-2026 is the Chinese national standard covering how a calendar system itself is identified in data - the Gregorian, the Chinese lunisolar, the Islamic, the Hebrew and the rest, each with a code, so that a date can say which calendar it is counted in. 1.Scope This document specifies the encoding method and code representation for calendar system codes. This document applies to the generation, representation, and implementation of various types of calendar system codes, including but not limited to historical calendars and current calendars. Various application scenarios, etc.

4 Encoding Method

4.1 Encoding Rules The calendar system code uses a variable length combination method and should consist of a calendar status code, a separator "-", and a calendar type code.

4.2 Code Structure The structure of the calendar system code is shown in Figure 1.

4.3 Calendar Status Codes Calendar status codes should be one letter and fall into the following two categories.

Note. Calendar status codes in this series of documents are case-insensitive.

4.4 Calendar Type Code

4.4.1 Calendar type codes should use a variable length combination and consist of English letters, Arabic numerals, and separators.

4.4.2 The specific structure of the calendar type code is as follows:

---The calendar type code for Chinese historical calendars should conform to the provisions of section

5.4 of GB/T 47681.2-2026;

---The calendar type codes for other calendars are specified separately by other parts of this series of documents, based on the characteristics of their respective calendar systems.

c) Sequence code "2101.01.02". indicates the second year of the Jianyuan era of the Western Han Dynasty. "2101" indicates the dynasty is Western Han, "01" indicates the era name is Jianyuan, and "02" indicates the year. The second year under the number.

4.4.3 When using calendar month or calendar day as the time unit, its calendar type code should be extended accordingly, extending to the calendar month and day. The representation of calendar days should conform to the provisions of GB/T 7408.1.

5 Code representation

5.1 Code Representation The calendar system code representation format specified in this document shall conform to the provisions of Table 1.

5.2 Definitions or Descriptions The definition or description of the project name includes the following.

a) Calendar system code. A combination of characters used to identify the calendar system;

b) Chinese Name. The calendar name is written in Chinese characters.

c) English Name. The calendar name is in English, represented by English letters;

d) Other language names. Calendar system names in languages other than Chinese and English; the corresponding language should conform to... The provisions of GB/T 4880 (all parts);

e) Definition. Describe and explain the calendar concepts in the table, distinguishing them from other related concepts, using Chinese language.

f) Code Abbreviations. Abbreviated forms of calendar system codes, represented by English letters or Arabic numerals, and each abbreviated form is unique;

g) Calendar Status. The calendar status is either a historical calendar or the current calendar;

h) The country and/or region that first adopted this calendar. The country and/or region currently identified as the earliest or first to adopt this calendar; countries and... The area code should conform to the provisions of GB/T 2659.1;

i) Country and/or region where the calendar is used. The main country and/or region where the calendar is used; country and region codes should conform to... The provisions of GB/T 2659.1;

j) Period of Use. The period during which this calendar is officially adopted and actually used; the representation of time shall conform to GB/T 7408.1. The provisions of GB/T 7408.2; k)
