GB/T 47676-2026 is the English-translated version of 旋转电机用于测量电刷运行性能的试验方法和设备.

GB/T 47676-2026 is a Chinese national standard on test methods and apparatus for measuring the operating characteristics of brushes used in rotating electrical machines.

It adopts IEC 60773:2021. The standard applies to measuring the operating performance of brushes designed to run on commutators and slip rings under specified test conditions.

By extension, some of the tests may also apply to other types of sliding electrical contacts in electrical equipment. Its clauses cover test apparatus requirements, test procedures and conditions, determination of the coefficient of friction, determination of voltage drop and commutation capability on a DC motor.

Informative appendices add friction measurement notes, a case study and a sample test report. Issued on 2 July 2026 and applicable from 1 February 2027.
