Foreword

This document is equivalent to ISO 23212:2021 "Flange joints for filling fuel oil and lubricating oil in marine and marine technology - Basic dimensions and specifications". Technical Requirements.

1 Scope

This document specifies the nominal pressure of PN10 flange joints for supplying marine fuel oil and lubricating oil from bunkering vessels or onshore facilities to ships.

This document does not apply to marine fuel system connections that use liquefied natural gas as fuel.

4 Classification

4.1 Flange joints are classified according to different media as follows.

a) Type F - Flange fitting for marine fuel receiving;

b) L-type - Flange fitting for receiving lubricating oil.

4.2 Flange joints are classified according to different operating methods as follows.

a) Type 1 - Blind flange without handle;

b) Type 2 - Blind flange with one handle;

c) Type 3---Blind flange with 2 handles.
