This document specifies the basic requirements for the breed origin and characteristics, body shape and appearance, body size and weight, production performance and grading of Huaxi cattle. The document describes the performance measurement method. This document applies to the breed identification and grading of Huaxi cattle.

3 Terms and Definitions
The terms and definitions defined in GB 4143 and GB/T 43838 apply to this document.
4.Variety Origin and Characteristics Huaxi cattle are bred using Sanhe cattle and Mongolian cattle as maternal breeds, and initially Simmental and Charolais cattle as paternal breeds, later using meat-grade Simmental cattle as paternal breeds. This is a specialized beef cattle breed developed through crossbreeding, crossbreeding fixation, and continuous selective breeding, with cattle as the sire. It features fast growth rate, high dressing percentage, and high net meat yield. It is characterized by high growth rate, good reproductive performance, and strong adaptability. It is mainly distributed in Xilingol League, Tongliao City, and Chifeng City of Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region, as well as Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region. The Ili Kazakh Autonomous Prefecture of Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region, Jingmen City of Hubei Province, Qujing City of Yunnan Province, Zhengzhou City of Henan Province, Baicheng City of Jilin Province, and other places.
5.Physical appearance characteristics The body is reddish (yellow) with a few white patches; the head is white, with some eye rings; the limbs, abdomen, and tail tip are mostly white; the majority of the body is white. They have horns; their body structure is well-proportioned, with a broad and deep body and well-developed muscles. Bulls have a cylindrical body, a broad forehead, a short, thick neck, a well-developed dewlap, and a full hindquarters; females... The cattle have a slightly slender build, a broad and flat rump, and well-developed udders. See Appendix A for the physical characteristics of bulls and cows.
