1 Scope

GB/T 47173-2026 is the Chinese national standard covering the firecracker as a product - the construction and the charge, the fuse and its burning time, the sound level, the requirements that stop a string firing all at once, and the packaging and marking. First edition under this number, in force since 1 June 2026, published with the pyrotechnic analysis methods revised in the same batch. 3 Terms and Definitions

The terms and definitions defined in GB 10631 and the following terms and definitions apply to this document.

3.1 stringofcrackers A product made by weaving or pasting multiple firecrackers into a whip (hanging or rolling), which produces a continuous popping sound when lit.

3.2 Linked connectionfuse The fuse used to connect and ignite firecrackers in the form of firecrackers.

3.3 Yarn During the process of stringing firecrackers, use cotton yarn or hemp thread to strengthen the tension of the entire string (roll) of firecrackers.

3.4 Fixed knot The process of fixing two or more layers of firecrackers together with yarn at certain intervals is also called "fixing".

3.5 Hanging rope (ring) A suspension device used when setting off firecracker-type firecrackers.

3.6 Perforation When the product is ignited, holes (diameter less than or equal to 1.5mm) are produced in the cylinder, accompanied by the ejection of flames and sparks.
