1 Scope

GB/T 47171-2026 is the Chinese national standard covering the Roman candle - a tube that fires a sequence of stars from a fixed position. China makes most of the world's fireworks, and the consumer categories are now being specified item type by item type. The standard fixes the classification, the construction and the pyrotechnic composition limits, the performance and the safety requirements including the effect distances, and the marking and instructions. 3 Terms and Definitions

The terms and definitions defined in GB 10631 and the following terms and definitions apply to this document.

3.1 Flameoutstar The effect component failed to ignite after being launched.

3.2 Scattered beads departmentstar Effect components scatter after being fired (except for Burst Beads).

3.3 When a single projectile is fired, there is a phenomenon where more than two effect pieces are launched consecutively within a significantly shorter interval than designed.

3.4 Hand-held Roman candles Designed as a handheld, single-tube sparkler product.

3.5 Fixed Roman candles Designed as a fixed (including underground insertion) single-tube spraying product.
