1 Scope

GB/T 47150-2026 is the Chinese national standard covering the machine that splits a carcass down the spine - the saw or cleaver on a slaughter line, with its cutting accuracy, the hygiene of a tool that touches every carcass in turn, its sterilisation between animals and the guarding of a powered blade at chest height. 3 Terms and Definitions

The terms and definitions defined in NY/T 4444 and the following terms and definitions apply to this document.

3.1 Hand-held splitting saw A device that is manually operated to divide an animal carcass into two parts.

3.2 A device that uses a hand-operated circular saw to divide an animal carcass into two parts.

3.3 A device that uses a frame-type three-dimensional motion mechanism to control the cutting tools to divide the animal carcass into two parts.

3.4 A device that uses robotic-controlled blades to divide an animal carcass into two parts.

3.5 The cutting tool is a robotic halving machine with a band saw.

3.6 During the splitting process, the friction between the knife and the animal carcass causes the temperature of the cut surface to rise, resulting in phenomena such as darkening of the meat and bone color and oxidation.
