3 Terms and Definitions
The following terms and definitions apply to this document.
3.1 Enclosed or semi-enclosed protective covers made of multiple layers of high-temperature resistant and flame-retardant materials can withstand the convective heat and high-temperature radiation from forest and grassland fires. The threat of heat and smoke to personal safety can provide temporary shelter for forest and grassland firefighters or trapped individuals.
3.2 Cover surface layer The outer layer of the fire shield, which directly faces the fire, is made of flame-retardant, high-temperature resistant, and heat-reflecting materials, providing instantaneous flame retardancy, resistance to high-temperature radiant heat, and heat shielding.
