This document complies with the provisions of GB/T 1.1-2020 "Standardization Work Guidelines Part 1: Structure and Drafting Rules of Standardization Documents".

This document adopts ISO 22822:2023 "Quality assessment and acceptance criteria for large yachts - Dynamic positioning of large yachts".

1 Scope

This document specifies the dynamic positioning (DP) of large yachts intended for recreational use (i.e., non-mission-critical, short-duration, mild weather).

Minimum system requirements. This standard provides minimum requirements for the equipment, as well as calculation methods for quantifying DP positioning performance, and provides... Guidelines on testing and personnel requirements.

This document applies to the quality assessment and acceptance of dynamic positioning systems for large yachts.

The following terms and definitions apply to this document.

3.1 DP system

The complete set of equipment required for dynamic positioning of large yachts.

3.2 Power system

Components and systems that provide power to the dynamic positioning system (3.1).

3.3 Thruster

A device that provides thrust to control the position of a large yacht.

Control components and systems, hardware and software required for dynamic positioning of large yachts.
