Introduction
This document proposes general rules for communication regarding the characteristics of offset printing inks, providing a standard for ink suppliers and printing manufacturers.
This communication project facilitates efficient exchange of information regarding the key characteristics of inks, optimizes printing production plans, and ensures that ink performance meets the requirements of the project.
The printed product's intended use must be matched. For example, to avoid color changes after printing, an ink that combines alkali-resistant ink with a varnish should be selected.
Application method. For printed materials used outdoors, inks with high lightfastness should be selected to prevent fading due to prolonged exposure to sunlight.
The rules for communicating ink properties provide information support for selecting the appropriate ink for different printed materials.
Given the special requirements for ink properties in the printing of food packaging and children's toys, this document does not cover related content.

3 Terms and Definitions
The following terms and definitions apply to this document.
Corona treatment
To increase the surface tension of the substrate and improve ink wettability and adhesion, corona discharge is performed on surfaces with low surface tension.
measure.
ink
A mixture consisting of colorants, functional ingredients, binders, and additives.
Note. In offset printing, ink is transferred as a fluid to the substrate and undergoes physical (volatile) and/or chemical processes (polymerization, such as oxidation, radiation initiation, or other methods) to achieve its properties.
(Other methods) are used to cure or dry the image to create an image for decorative, informational, or technological dissemination purposes.
lightfastnesslightfastness the ability of printed materials to retain their original colors under a specified light source (such as filtered xenon arc light).
Safety data sheet
A compilation of health, safety, and environmental data, as well as precautions for the safe handling of chemicals and chemical components.
