3 Terms and Definitions

The following terms and definitions apply to this document.

3.1 Activities to assist or care for the elderly in their daily lives, such as eating, living, hygiene, excretion, and changing positions. [Source: MZ/T 171-2021, 3.1]

3.2 Relevant third party The spouses and guardians of the elderly, as well as individuals or organizations that provide financial guarantees or entrust agents for the elderly. [Source: GB 38600-2019, 3.1]

4.1 Service Providers

4.1.1 Elderly care institutions should formulate systems for the management of daily care services, safety and emergency management, and arrange service personnel to be on duty 24 hours a day.

4.1.2 Elderly care institutions should provide relatively fixed caregivers for the elderly, and the ratio of caregivers to staff should comply with MZ/T 187. Relevant requirements.
