This document specifies the preparation, startup and commissioning, operation, shutdown, troubleshooting and handling, and data acquisition procedures for flue gas carbon dioxide capture and compression devices. The system meets operational and management requirements, and corresponding verification methods are described. This document applies to the operation and management of carbon dioxide capture and compression devices in flue gas using chemical absorption methods (organic amines, etc.).

3 Terms and Definitions

The following terms and definitions apply to this document.

3.1 carbon dioxide capture The process of separating carbon dioxide from flue gas to meet certain performance requirements.

3.2 Leansolvent In the carbon dioxide absorption/desorption cycle, the absorbent is desorbed in the regeneration tower and then transported from the bottom of the tower to the absorption tower.

3.3 Rich solution In the carbon dioxide absorption/desorption cycle, the absorbent is absorbed in the absorption tower and then transported from the bottom of the tower to the regeneration tower.

3.4 Absorber A tower used to ensure sufficient contact between lean liquor and flue gas, thereby absorbing carbon dioxide from the flue gas.

3.5 Regeneration Tower Stripper The tower obtains sufficient heat from the reboiler and exchanges heat fully with the rich liquid, thereby completing the desorption of carbon dioxide from the rich liquid.
