3 Terms and Definitions

The following terms and definitions apply to this document.

3.1 geographical

The proprietary names assigned to each geographic entity.

In accordance with relevant national policies, regulations, and place name standardization requirements, for geographical entities without names, creative, derivational, borrowing, and association methods are adopted.

The process of naming using methods such as appellation.

Example 1.Creatively name the river "Jade Belt River" and "Willow Oriole River" based on its shape and beautiful ecological imagery.

Example 2.New place names "Hucun Street" and "Luohe Wetland Park" are derived from the main place names "Hucun" and "Luohe".

Example 3."Ganquan Road" is named after "Yujing Ganquan", one of the eight scenic spots of Rongcheng, and "Le'an Street" is named after "Le'anli", an old neighborhood.

Example 4.Take one character from each of the settlement names "Bailong Village" and "Santai Town" to name it "Longtai Road".
