1 Scope

GB/T 46867-2025 is the Chinese national standard covering how a naming scheme for a new district, development zone or road network is drawn up - the survey of existing names, the system of specifics and generics, the avoidance of duplication and confusion, and the consultation and approval before the names go on the map.
