3 Terms and Definitions

The terms and definitions defined in GB/T 7928 and GB/T 32852.3, as well as the following terms and definitions, apply to this document.

3.1 fault

The system or device is in a state where it cannot perform its intended function.

Note. This excludes preventative maintenance or other planned activities, or situations where external resources are unavailable.
