1 Scope

GB/T 46688-2025 is the Chinese national standard covering the fault reporting of a metro train - the grading from a defect that can wait for the depot to one that requires the train to be detrained, the information each alarm carries to the driver and to the control centre, and the recording for maintenance. First edition, with the signalling system standard GB/T 46690-2025. In force from 1 February 2026. Issued on 31 October 2025, it has been in force since 1 February 2026.

This document specifies the general requirements, alarm information requirements, and fault classification requirements for urban rail transit vehicles. The question describes the verification method. This document applies to the composition of alarm information and the classification of faults in urban rail transit vehicles. Other types of vehicles can refer to this document for reference.

Note. The urban rail transit vehicles mentioned in this document include subway system vehicles, light rail system vehicles, and urban rapid rail system vehicles.

3 Terms and Definitions

The terms and definitions defined in GB/T 7928 and GB/T 32852.3, as well as the following terms and definitions, apply to this document.

3.1 fault The system or device is in a state where it cannot perform its intended function.
