Foreword

This document complies with the provisions of GB/T 1.1-2020 "Standardization Work Guidelines Part 1: Structure and Drafting Rules of Standardization Documents".

This document is modified to adopt ISO 2190:2016 "Determination of moisture content of cork pellets".

This document has undergone the following structural adjustments compared to ISO 2190:2016.

---Added section 7.2.1, corresponding to the second paragraph of 5.3 in ISO 2190:2016 and the first paragraph of 7.2 in ISO 2190:2016;

--- Added 7.2.2, corresponding to the second to fifth paragraphs of 7.2 in ISO 2190:2016.

This document differs significantly from ISO 2190:2016 in several technical aspects. The relevant clauses are indicated in vertical single-line margins.

The lines (|) are marked. A summary of these technical differences and their reasons can be found in Appendix A.

The following editorial changes have been made to this document.

1 Scope

This document describes a method for determining the moisture content of cork granules.

This document applies to the determination of moisture content in cork pellets.

3 Terms and Definitions

The terms and definitions defined in GB/T 42110-2022, as well as the following terms and definitions, apply to this document.

Moisture content

Under certain conditions, the ratio of the mass loss of cork granules after drying to their initial mass before drying.

4 Principles

Before drying, the cork granule samples were weighed, dried, and weighed again. The mass loss was measured, and the moisture content was calculated.

5 Testing equipment

5.1 Balance, sensitivity 0.01g.

5.2 Drying oven, maintain temperature (103±2)°C.

5.3 Beaker, with a volume of 2L.

5.4 A glass desiccator containing an effective desiccant (such as silica gel) with a volume of 9L to 11L.

6 Sampling

Sampling was carried out in accordance with the requirements of 6.3 in GB/T 42306-2023.
