This document is equivalent to ISO 8406:2008 "Circular positioning elements and pads for forming mold base". This document includes a new chapter on "Terms and Definitions".

1 Scope

This document specifies the basic dimensions of circular positioning elements and spacers. These two elements are suitable for precise positioning between two parts of a molding die.

Position. See Figure 1 for a schematic diagram of the installation of the circular positioning element.

This document also specifies the materials, hardness, and markings of the positioning elements and their pads.
