Scope
GB/T 46626-2025 is the English-translated version of 木工机床安全 宽带砂光机和表面处理机.
GB/T 46626-2025 — This document outlines the safety requirements and measures for wide-band sanders and surface treatment machines (hereinafter referred to as "machine tools") capable of continuous production.
This document addresses the hazards listed in Appendix A (Hazards List) related to machine tools when operated, adjusted, and maintained according to the manufacturer's intended specifications.
All significant hazards, dangerous situations, and events related to the device, including reasonably foreseeable misuse. Furthermore, transportation, assembly, disassembly, and decommissioning are also considered.
And the dangers of the scrapping stage.
This document also applies to machine tools equipped with one or more of the following devices/additional work units (the hazards of these devices/units have been addressed). ---Horizontal sanding device; ---Cleaning brush device; ---Grinding roller device; ---Grinding disc device; ---Textured brush roller device; ---Texturing brush/sand belt device; ---Cutting device for the tool body; ---Texture band saw device; --- Embossing roller device; ---Multi-blade unit; ---Conveyors directly controlled by machine tools; ---Additional workpiece vacuum clamping device; ---Antistatic bar device.
Note 1.An antistatic bar is a device that eliminates static charge on a workpiece so that dust can be removed by airflow. This document also applies to machine tools equipped with laser engraving devices, but does not cover the specific hazards of such devices.
The machine tool is designed to process workpieces with flat surfaces and uniform thickness, in the form of panels, beams, or frames, including. a) Solid wood; b) Materials with physical properties similar to wood (see GB/T 44902-2024, 3.2); c) Gypsum board, gypsum fiberboard; d) Composite materials having a core composed of, for example, polyurethane or mineral materials; e) Composite panels made from the above materials; f) All materials listed above are painted.
This document does not cover any hazards related to the following. ---Specific equipment other than those mentioned above; ---Enter through the feed and discharge ports of machine tools with a maximum processing height greater than 700mm; ---A system for power-loading and unloading workpieces onto a single machine tool; Note 2.Manual loading includes manually placing the workpiece onto a conveyor directly controlled by the machine tool.
Manual unloading includes manually moving the workpiece from the conveyor directly controlled by the machine tool. Remove the workpiece. ---Workpiece unloading on machine tools with a feed rate greater than 60m/min; ---The interface between the machine tool and any other machine tool.
This document does not apply to machine tools used in potentially explosive atmospheres or machine tools manufactured before the date of its publication.
