This document complies with the provisions of GB/T 1.1-2020 "Standardization Work Guidelines Part 1: Structure and Drafting Rules of Standardization Documents".

This document is equivalent to ISO 29768:2022 "Measurement of linear dimensions of test specimens for thermal insulation products for building purposes".

1 Scope

This document specifies the instruments, equipment, test procedures, and related content for measuring the linear dimensions of specimens prepared from building insulation products.

The procedures for measuring the linear dimensions of full-size insulation products are specified by ISO 29465 and ISO 29466.

3 Terms and Definitions

The following terms and definitions apply to this document.

3.1 Linear dimension

The distance between two points, two parallel lines, or two parallel planes is determined by the corners, sides, or faces of the specimen.

3.2 Test specimen

A single product or a portion of a single product used for testing.

The linear dimensions of the specimen are measured using instruments and equipment that meet the accuracy requirements.

You can use equipment that can provide at least the same accuracy and the same results.

5 Instruments and Equipment

5.1 Plane

A plane larger than the maximum size of the specimen.

5.2 Indicator Table

The graduation value is no greater than 0.05 mm.

The dimensions of the specimen surface should ensure that the surface pressure of the specimen does not exceed 1 kPa during the test.

The pressure on the specimen surface can be reduced by removing the spring from the indicator. An indicator or other electrical or optical device with at least the same accuracy... Measuring instruments can be fixed to a device to adapt the testing equipment to the size of the specimen.

5.3 Micrometer

The graduation value is no greater than 0.05 mm.
