Foreword

This document complies with the provisions of GB/T 1.1-2020 "Standardization Work Guidelines Part 1: Structure and Drafting Rules of Standardization Documents".

Drafting.

This document modifies and adopts IEC TR62726:2014 "Baseline Quantification of Greenhouse Gas Emission Reduction Guidelines for Electrical and Electronic Products and Systems".

The type has been changed from an IEC technical report to a Chinese recommended national standard.

Compared with IEC TR62726:2014, this document has undergone many structural adjustments. A comparison of the structural numbering changes between the two documents is provided below.

See Appendix A for the table of contents.

This document differs significantly from IEC TR62726:2014.The differences are indicated in the margins of the relevant clauses.

Vertical single lines (|) are indicated. A summary of these technical differences and their reasons is provided in Appendix B.

The following editorial changes have been made to this document.

a) The standard title will be changed to "Guidelines for Quantifying Greenhouse Gas Emission Reduction in Electrical and Electronic Products and Systems";

b) An Appendix A (informative) has been added, "Structural changes compared to IEC TR62726:2014";

c) An Appendix B (informative) has been added, "Technical differences between this document and IEC TR62726:2014 and the reasons therefor." Please note that some content in this document may involve patents. The issuing organization of this document assumes no responsibility for identifying patents.

This document was prepared by the National Technical Committee on Environmental Standardization of Electrical and Electronic Products and Systems (SAC/TC297) and the National Carbon Emission Management Standardization Committee.

The Standardization Technical Committee (SAC/TC548) proposed and is responsible for this project.

Introduction

Electronic and electrical products and systems are widely used in society, and customers and other stakeholders in the market need or require electronic and electrical products and systems.

Industries are taking action to quantify and reduce their environmental impact through environmentally conscious design during the product development phase. All parties are working to reduce greenhouse gas emissions.

Gas emissions, in order to achieve future national, regional and global emission reduction targets. For the electrical and electronic industry, compared with other industries, developing and providing...

New products that enable greenhouse gas emission reduction offer a significant opportunity for large-scale greenhouse gas emission reduction.

ISO 14064-2 provides a basic, general, and relevant methodology. GB/T 33760 provides a project-level approach to greenhouse gas emissions.

Basic standards for assessing emissions reductions. This document is a modified version of IEC TR62726:2014, with some changes in structure and content compared to the former.

The modifications were made in sections, but the overall consistency was maintained.

Compared with ISO 14064-2 and GB/T 33760, this document maintains basic consistency with the former two in terms of quantification methods and procedures.

While some clauses are identical, the majority of the clauses in this document are based on IEC TR62726:2014 and have been revised.

It was revised and integrated, and the specific clauses tend to focus on methods and principles.

This document should be used in conjunction with ISO 14064-2 and GB/T 33760.

The specific objectives of this document are as follows.

a) Enable organizations in the electrical and electronic industries to quantify the social contribution of their products and systems to greenhouse gas emission reduction;

b) Allow for the assessment of greenhouse gas emission reductions of products in greenhouse gas projects related to electrical and electronic products relative to the baseline.

Evaluate.

In addition to the objectives mentioned above, the following additional anticipated benefits are also expected.

a) Promote the integration of greenhouse gas-related targets into the design and development strategies of electronic and electrical products;

b) Establishing consistency and bridges between different product areas within the electrical and electronic industry;

c) Assist technical committees of specific products with limited expertise or resources in developing their own methodologies.
