Introduction
Carbon steel process vessels used in the oil, petrochemical, and natural gas industries operate under complex internal media conditions, enduring long-term exposure to high temperatures, high pressures, H2S/CO2, and corrosion.
The action of corrosive chemicals and other media poses varying degrees of corrosion risk. Coating and lining corrosion protection technologies are cost-effective and customizable.
Its high stability and wide range of application conditions have made it one of the main means to alleviate corrosion problems in carbon steel process vessels, and it has been widely used.
To standardize the application, operation, and maintenance of coatings and linings for carbon steel process vessels, regulations were formulated for the internal coatings and linings of carbon steel process vessels in the petroleum, petrochemical, and natural gas industries.
A series of technical documents on coatings and linings. This document aims to provide a mutually acceptable framework for carbon steel process vessels in the oil, petrochemical, and gas industries.
Standards for material selection, technical requirements, and testing and inspection methods for coating and lining systems. GB/T 46446 Petroleum, Petrochemical and Natural Gas Industries the document "Coating and Lining of Carbon Steel Process Vessels" is proposed to consist of two parts.
---Part 1: Technical Requirements. The purpose is to specify the structural design, substrate surface treatment, and other requirements for the coatings and linings inside carbon steel process vessels.
Technical requirements for key aspects such as coating application, testing and inspection.
---Part 2: Requirements and Guidelines for Coating and Lining System Selection. The aim is to specify the coatings and linings for carbon steel process vessels.
Choose the requirements and methods.
Because there are many types of coating and lining materials, and the construction process involves many steps, improper material selection or construction quality problems can lead to issues.
This has a serious impact on its actual application in the field. This document combines coating and lining corrosion protection technologies in the oil, petrochemical, and natural gas industries.
The specific application of carbon steel process vessels can effectively guide and standardize the work of designers, material manufacturers, construction companies, and users, ensuring the quality of the inner coating.
Key aspects of lining application are standardized and controlled to ensure the safe and reliable operation of carbon steel process vessels.
