1 Scope

GB/T 46300-2025 is the Chinese national standard covering the oil pressed from lacquer tree seeds - the fatty acid composition that distinguishes it, the acid and peroxide values, the unsaponifiable matter, and the urushiol that must be absent, since the same tree yields the allergen that makes lacquer. First edition, under the National Food and Strategic Reserves Administration. In force from 1 May 2026. Issued on 5 October 2025, it has been in force since 1 May 2026.

This document defines the terminology for lacquer tree seed oil and specifies its classification, quality requirements, inspection rules, labeling and packaging, storage, transportation, and sale. The requirements describe the corresponding testing methods. This document applies to commercial lacquer tree seed oil processed from lacquer tree seeds.
