Scope

GB/T 46269.1-2025 is the English-translated version of 高动态范围(HDR)视频技术 第1部分: 元数据及适配.

GB/T 46269.1-2025 is the Chinese national standard covering the metadata that travels with an HDR picture and what a display does with it — the end-to-end framework from capture to screen, the static and dynamic metadata fields, the dynamic ones changing frame by frame, the adaptation to an HDR display of lower capability, and the adaptation to an SDR display, which is what decides whether the same stream looks right on a screen that is not HDR. At 32,500 words. Part 1 of the series, with the application guide GB/T 46269.2-2025. First edition, in force from 1 March 2026. Issued on 29 August 2025, it has been in force since 1 March 2026.
