1 Scope

This document specifies the classification, structure and marking, design, requirements, test methods, inspection rules, and markings of single-point mooring cables for offshore facilities.

Requirements for packaging, transportation and storage.

This document applies to the design, manufacture, and acceptance of single-point mooring cables for offshore facilities.

3 Terms and Definitions

The terms and definitions defined in GB/T 40273, as well as the following terms and definitions, apply to this document.

3.1 Float

A device consisting of a float and a covering material, tied to a fiber cable, providing buoyancy for a single-point mooring line.

3.2 The thimble

Located at the eye loops at both ends of a single-point mooring cable, these are ring-shaped devices used to connect, secure, and protect the single-point mooring cable.

3.3 coating

A coating applied to the surface of fiber cables to reduce corrosion and wear.

3.4

The average value of the breaking force of the fiber rope specimen under dry conditions.

3.5

The average value of the breaking force of the fiber rope specimen under wet conditions.

3.6

The fiber cable has the capability to withstand cyclic loads of a specified amplitude up to 1000 times.
