3 Basic General Terminology

3.1 magnetic field

The components of an electromagnetic field, characterized by magnetic field strength H and magnetic flux density B.

The force determined by the spatial position of the magnetic field.

3.3 magnet

Materials or substances that can generate magnetic fields.

3.4 permanent magnet

permanent magnets A magnet that generates a magnetic field through its inherent magnetization.
