Scope

GB/T 45941-2025 is the English-translated version of 额定电压450/750 V及以下电缆试验方法.

GB/T 45941-2025 is the Chinese national collection of test methods for cables rated up to and including 450/750 V. It fixes the general rules on sampling, pre-conditioning, test temperature and test values, and the electrical tests: conductor resistance, voltage tests on the finished cable and on insulated cores under water, insulation resistance including above 90 °C and under long-term direct voltage, insulation integrity and sheath surface resistance.

It also gives the non-electrical tests, from insulation and sheath thickness, overall dimensions and ovality to flexing, bending, twisting, abrasion, drop-weight impact, solderability, sheath water resistance and the halogen determination.

The IEC 60811 methods are left aside. Cable makers and laboratories use it. Identical to IEC 63294:2021, it was issued on 1 August 2025 and has applied since 1 February 2026.
