Scope

GB/T 45786-2025 is the English-translated version of 钛及钛合金自耗电极挤压成形规范.

GB/T 45786-2025 is the Chinese national standard covering pressing titanium sponge, revert and alloy additions into the consumable electrode that a vacuum arc furnace later melts — the press, container and die that make up the tooling, the raw material requirements, the material head preparation and the extrusion sequence, the unit extrusion pressure and the other extrusion parameters, the operating rules, the inspection and the records, and the storage. Whatever the electrode carries into the furnace ends up in the ingot. First edition, in force from 1 September 2025. Issued on 30 May 2025, it has been in force since 1 September 2025.

3 Terms and definitions

The terms and definitions defined in GB/T 8541 and the following apply to this document.

3.1 Rod material composed of materials

For use in the vacuum consumable arc melting process (VAR) to melt titanium and titanium alloy ingots, with titanium sponge, titanium material return and alloy addition

3.2 Extrusion

The blank is subjected to three-dimensional non-uniform compressive stress in the closed mold cavity and is extruded from the orifice or gap of the mold, which reduces its cross-sectional area and becomes The processing method of the desired product.

3.3 Unit extrusion pressure

The pressure per unit area of the extrusion rod (extrusion punch).

[Source. GB/T 8541-2012, 8.20.1]

3.4 Extrusion container

A container that holds the extruded blank during the extrusion process.

3.5 Remainder

At the end of extrusion, there is no blank extruded out of the die.
